Summer training at NIPER _June 1st to July 13th 2018

Proposed duration of training: 06 weeks (June 01, 2018 to July 13, 2018); Number of students to be admitted/year: 30 (3 students in each department); Fees of summer training: Rs. 10,000/- for 6 weeks duration; Eligibility criteria: For students who wish to undergo above mentioned training at NIPERS.A.S. The students of first batch of CPIPR recently appeared for the examination. The first batch contains 43 students with varied profiles. The highlights of the batch are 1. Three international students. 2. Eleven people from industries which includes the employee of RPG Life Sciences, Lupin Pharma, Micro Labs, BioXcel Corporation, Lonza India and many others. The designations are from trainee to Assistant General Manager. 3. Five faculty members from various institutes. 4. One person from Government Organization (CDSCO). 5. One person who is from media industry who specifically covers the pharmaceutical industry. 6. Students from B. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy and PhD. 7. The batch includes at least one student from Gujarat, Karnataka, Assam, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and others. 

Top pharma companies in trouble_Pharmabiz update

That the Indian pharmaceutical industry is going through a difficult period is an undisputed fact, thanks mainly to the unprecedented quality issues being raised by the US FDA. For the last couple of years, the Indian pharmaceutical companies, especially those which have exposure to regulated markets like US and Europe, have been staring at a scenario where their profits have been eroding from quarter to quarter. The gravity of the situation can be gauged from a Pharmabiz study of 30 major Indian pharmaceutical companies . The study has revealed that the net profit of 30 Indian pharma giants has declined by a whopping 38% in the first nine months ended December, 2017. As per the study, 30 major pharmaceutical companies in India have posted dismal financial performance during the first nine months ended December 2017 and their net profit declined sharply by 37.9 per cent to Rs. 12,313 crore from Rs. 19,833 crore in the corresponding period of last year due to US FDA actions again
