In continuation with our earlier post, the below agenda has been decided for mission transformation.
5. In interest of the professional and quality of pharmacists, permission to new pharmacy colleges must stop instantly. There's no point in creating an brigade of unemployed pharmacists when current pharmacists have to accept non-professional jobs.

1. "Transformation ..." is a must at universities ... The curriculum need to be industry savvy to meet the global demand of well trained and well educated professionals ...
2. BOS of universities need to realize that the products out of the colleges must be accepted by the industry, as is ... That means, industrial training for a semester (6 month) should be a 'mandatory' requirement for graduation for a 4 year bachelors degree. 3 month industrial training for diploma and Masters student be made a requirement.
3. Teachers with Industrial training or industrial training for teachers can help facilitate industry-academia collaboration ... The teachers be equipped with modern technology to help facilitate teaching and implement new learning methods.
4. Professionals in the pharma industry must primarily select pharmacists and the remuneration need to be attractive. Synergy in terms of campus placements are a need for both academia and industry.
