ENTERPREUNERSHIP SCENARIO AFTER PHARMACY EDUCATION_Essay by Alisha Ealias

Just because it is a safe and sound choice doesn’t make it a smart choice. Just because established entities provide you with a steady paycheck, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take substantial risk in life to go out and start new firms or enterprises. An entrepreneur is someone who brings different means of possibilities together in a unique way to generate more profit. It is just about thinking outside the box and thinking of better ways to deliver professional skills. Entrepreneurship is believed to have existed in human history, at that time merely termed as self- employment but as the civilized societies came into existence it was suppressed to a great extent.

The current pharmacy field possesses many threats including the instability by the employers. The decreased job satisfaction or the lack of employment varieties usually depresses the mind of professional pharmacist. A multifaceted approach must be sown within each of the professional mind. Self-reliance is one of the many qualities that are brought out through entrepreneurship which in turn accelerates the process of economic development and in turn the growth of a country. The challenges faced because of the globalization and liberalization can be met to a great extend through entrepreneurship.

The pharmaceutical sector doesn’t see new changes or innovations within itself frequently and it is important to understand that patience and hard work is way more important than frequent successes. An entrepreneur mind always arises from common needs or a view of change or sometimes it can also be because of a situation or a random person who urges you to think about a situation altogether in a different way. The entrepreneurship after pharmacy has a wide variety of chances. For example Mr. Michael Rea the founder of the website “Rx saving solutions”, he began his carrier as a pharmacist and not too long came upon a question by his customers of the reason for the increasing cost of medications. He lost his job because of his kind gesture towards customers keeping the owners interest secondary. He then started this way to help people from the torturing costs of medication. It is just one example of the many other examples by great entrepreneurs from the field of pharmacy. Mostly the pharmacist after acquiring his or her professional degree enters into different sectors like hospital pharmacy, community pharmacist or other organizations. The already existing pharmaceutical sectors can be manipulative over the years in many ways. A young mind of an entrepreneur is always straightforward and gives more value to the professional ethics of pharmacy. This indeed can make a huge change in the pharmaceutical industry and helps in improving its quality.

Perseverance or the persistence on achieving something without being affected by the difficulties one face among the path or worried about success is very important. There is a famous saying that Ambition is the path to success and persistence is the vehicle you arrive in. As Steve jobs once quoted- I’am convinced that about half of what separates the successful.

entrepreneurs from the unsuccessful once are pure perseverance” Innovations can reshape pharmaceutical landscape. Curiosity is hallmark of an innovator. Nurturing ones innovative capabilities is of great use. The current curriculum of pharmacy only emphasizes on enhancement of professional competence. A positive attitude towards entrepreneurship should be brought out by incorporating entrepreneurial education. Either it is the development of a whole new approach or improving the existing ones and making it more of sustainable value to consumers. While the scenario holds many motives, the fact is not hidden that it brings about a vast change in the availability of services, its provision and done without altering the quality of the services provided.

Entrepreneurship always creates a new system of things. Proper planning, a desire to achieve with hard work and self-improvisation is what makes an entrepreneur successful. As everything comes with a price, it has its own risks. There is risk of financial failure, stress, greater efforts, but it is worth the risks. It takes a lot amount of confidence and self-belief to stand out from the crowd and it is a thing that is to be appreciated. So let’s move forward with an attitude of becoming a Job Generator rather than a Seeker and let’s together make the world a more prosperous one.
