DBT to organise national workshop on regulatory compliance for accelerating innovations

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) in association with Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) is organising a series of six regulatory national workshops across the nation on facilitating resolution of regulatory concerns faced by the innovators in India.


This workshop series is being conducted by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), a PSU of DBT and Clinical Development Services Agency (CDSA), an extramural unit of Translational Health Science & Technology Institute (THISTI) an autonomous institute under DBT. The first such workshop will be conducted at NIPER, Hyderabad on May 29.

This workshop is organised with National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad. This workshop series aims to facilitate 'Make in India' drive by helping the innovators and will offer an opportunity to the innovators to interact with the regulators to resolve their regulatory issues thereby facilitating them to seek market authorisation. Deliberations will be on various regulatory pathways applicable for development of the new drugs, biopharmaceuticals, vaccines, medical devices & IVD kits, phytopharmaceuticals from discovery till commercialisation.

Innovators, personnel working in the government national laboratories, academic and research institutions, participants from non- governmental institutions, startups, SMEs, MSMEs, industry, researchers etc can participate in this national workshop.
